“Eleven Clinton – Smothered Blues was established with the vision to resurrect a true jazz supper club in the heart of downtown Newark. Eleven Clinton boasts a farm-to- table menu featuring home-style dishes with a Cajun flair, paired with exceptional service and “smothered” with live jazz performances.

Executive Chef Dawn Tyson, culinary genius and published author, created a menu that combines flavors of southern-style comfort food with authentic Caribbean spices and tastes, prepared in a scratch kitchen with organic farm-to-table ingredients.

The menu takes you from traditional fare to unexpected yet familiar experiences: cajun-spiced catfish topped with pico de gallo and drizzled with chipotle mayo creates the boldest and and most savory cajun catfish tacos available anywhere. The baby back ribs are dry rubbed and slow cooked to achieve a tender, and smokey BBQ experience.

As General Manager of Eleven Clinton, Smothered Blues, Charles Hunter, began his journey in the restaurant industry at the young age of seventeen. It was during his early years, starting as a cater waiter at Terrace on the Park in Flushing–Meadows Queens that the seed was first planted and his love for cooking and bringing memorable experiences to patrons, began to blossom.
